California truly feels like a different world. I literally found myself eating a burrito on the beach watching a sunset and roasting Peeps on a fire on a Tuesday night. Besides the point, let’s dive into the photo gallery and my unorganized list of life events. Enjoy.

-Started California off at Lake Tahoe. This has to be one of the most beautiful places I have ever been, ever. We sat on hot rocks and soaked up the sun and ordered pizza from some surfer boys. Keegan found a large pinecone that then traveled with us for the rest of our days.
-Escaped Tahoe a day early to avoid a snowstorm? Ended up in Sacramento eating dumplings in a hotel bedroom.
-Drove to SF and met up with Elliott. Listened to really good music and cruised around in his element lol. Made it to a lookout point and got a little emotional over the city.
-Made Russian dumplings at home? It was a full-out event. Got addicted to Cherry Cola.
-Went over to the house of someone Elliott gives piano lessons to. Met some humans and had a really nice dinner and learned locals don’t say San Fran, they say SF, controversial.
-Elliott brought us to a taco spot during our lunch break and it was the best taco I’ve ever eaten.
-Adventured around chinatown in the rain and ran after a bus. Went to Vesuvio and got a pitcher of beer. Ended up at the Grubstake Diner. I can’t begin to explain this place, but we paid maybe 20 dollars for a grilled cheese sandwich. I’m physically laughing typing this thinking about how expensive it was.
-Rode electric bikes to see the Golden Gate Bridge and went to a super cute authentic Chinese restaurant. I accidentally called 911 while biking down a very fast hill.
-Met up with Maia and talked about life things.
-Camped at Sunset Beach, ended up at the campground with a full boycott troop and an enthusiastic scout leader. Woken up to the sound of “SCOUTS!” Ate freeze-dried food.
-Drove to Big Sur and saw the bridge, peed at the top of the random steep hill. This is just a random vivid memory I have lol.
-Watched crabs run around on the coast all afternoon.
-Got burritos and went to the beach to have a fire. Melted Peeps, controversial.
-Rented electric bikes again and took them on the ferry to Angel Island- we almost missed this ferry and accidentally locked ourselves out of our electric bike app.
-Rode around the island and ate sandwiches. Soon after my bike ran out of power and I was ready to be back. Ended up eating gummy worms waiting for the ferry back.
-Drove to Fort Bragg area, went on a hike that felt like a never-ending beautiful circle. The closest I’ve felt to being in a simulation.
-Went to Vichy Springs, soaked in some bubble water and had conversations with strangers in a hot tub at night. Ran around in some soaked robes and ate sushi in town.
-Woke up relaxed to find out our car battery was drained. Got help from a hot springs worker and went on our way to our weird night at an Airbnb.
-Sat at the Airbnb and watched Married at First Sight on our computer before dropping Elliott off at the bus in the morning.
-Got Denny’s which is a seriously hidden gem. They has cookie dough pancakes? Don’t talk to me until you go.
-Drove to Bandon, OR.
To be continued.
With love and naturally carbonated spring water,
Linds
